Five years of dedication, growth, and commitment - this milestone marks not just a professional achievement but a deep connection to a workplace that feels like home. Meet Aleksandra Ražanauskienė, a Senior Audit Assistant at Rödl & Partner Lithuania, celebrating her fifth work anniversary. From her very first day, she embraced the challenges and opportunities that shaped her journey, fostering meaningful relationships and developing her expertise. In this interview, she reflects on the experiences that have defined her career, the lessons she has learned, and the passion that drives her every day.

Five years have passed since you joined Rödl & Partner. What does this anniversary mean to you, and how do you feel looking back at your journey?

Reaching my five-year anniversary at Rödl & Partner is a meaningful milestone that fills me with gratitude and pride. Over these years, I have had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, working alongside inspiring colleagues and contributing to impactful projects. Looking back, I appreciate the challenges that have strengthened my skills, the successes that have motivated me, and the relationships that have enriched my journey.

In what ways do you feel you have grown the most - professionally or personally -during your time as an audit assistant?

Over the past five years as an audit assistant at Rödl & Partner, I have grown significantly both professionally and personally. Professionally, I have improved my auditing skills, improved my analytical skills, and gained confidence in handling complex financial data and client interactions. I have also learned how to work more efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to details.

Personally, I have become more adaptable and confident. Working with different teams and industries has helped me improve my problem-solving skills and ability to work with different types of people. I have also learned to take on more responsibility, which positively impacted both my career and personal development.

Every job has its unforgettable moments. Can you share one experience - whether a challenge, a funny moment, or a great achievement - that has stuck with you over the years?

My promotion to Senior Audit Assistant has been a rewarding step in my career. Leading a team of three, I oversee audit engagements, review work, and provide guidance. This role has strengthened my leadership and problem-solving skills while allowing me to mentor my team and ensure high-quality results maintaining a collaborative and supportive environment at the same time.

Auditing requires teamwork, patience, and precision. What’s one lesson you have learned from working closely with your colleagues that has made you better at your job?

One lesson I have learned is that clear communication is key. In auditing, accuracy and timeliness are everything, and sometimes the smallest detail can make a big difference. Regular check-ins, sharing challenges, and asking for feedback helps avoid mistakes and keeps everyone on the same page so the whole team can succeed together.

If you could give one key piece of advice to someone just starting as an audit assistant, what would it be?

I would say, do not be afraid to ask questions. There is a lot to learn, and no one expects you to know everything right away. Asking for clarification or feedback early helps you grow quickly and prevents bigger issues later.

Now that you have reached this five-year milestone, what are your career aspirations for the next five years?

In the next five years, I would like to pass the exams for the license of an auditor through the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors. I also plan to pursue a master's degree to further strengthen my qualifications and knowledge. This combination would help me enhance my expertise in auditing and give an access to a wider professional network.

If someone were considering joining Audit team at Rödl & Partner Lithuania, what would you say sets our company apart? What makes it a rewarding place to work?

At Rödl & Partner Lithuania, the team-oriented culture makes it easy to work closely with others. Everyone is encouraged to share ideas, collaborate, and solve problems together. It’s not just about completing tasks – it is about learning from each other and supporting one another. It is a place where you can grow in your career and feel like you are part of a strong, united team.
