10-year professional anniversary: expertise, outstanding energy, and optimism

We have a pleasure of celebrating a significant milestone for one of our valued colleagues, Vilma Zaveckaitė, as she marks her 10^th work anniversary with Rödl & Partner Lithuania. Over the past decade, she has become a vital part of our team, known for her energy, dedication, and precision in her role as an accountant. In this interview, she reflects on her journey, sharing memorable moments, professional insights, and the passion that has driven her success throughout the years. Let’s find out more about what makes her time with us so special.

Looking back to the beginning of your career at Rödl & Partner Lithuania, do you remember the feelings you had when you first walked through the doors ten years ago?

Absolutely, I remember it clearly. My first impression was of a beautiful office in a wonderful location, filled with nice people. After the interview, my thought was, "Wow, I would love to work here!"

What does celebrating your ten-year professional anniversary mean to you personally?

It means a lot. Ten years with one company shows that I feel good, stable, and secure here. I am loyal to places where I am valued and appreciated, and this company is one of them.

In our office, everyone knows you are so energetic, emotional and charismatic. How do you balance your extroverted personality with the precision and focus required for accounting?

Are you joking? Well, maybe a little! But seriously, I am a bit of a maximalist in all areas of my life. If I am working, I am fully focused. If I am joking, I go all in. I think my energy and sense of humor help brighten up the workday, and of course, I always try to keep a balance.

What are your favorite tasks or projects at work?

Honestly, I enjoy all tasks equally because in accounting, every transaction is important. When you love what you do, it does not really matter whether the task is enjoyable or not. The focus is always on solving it correctly and on time.

Would you encourage young people to pursue a career in accounting? Why or why not?

That is a tough question, because accounting is a demanding field. But it is also really interesting and not as monotonous as people might think. I believe it is important for everyone to find their own path. I found mine in accounting.

What is your main motto or favorite quote, both professionally and personally?

"Whatever you do, do it well" and "If there is a problem, there is a solution as well."

If you had to describe yourself professionally in three words, what would they be?

You already did so! Energetic, precise, and driven to the finish line!

Over the past ten years at Rödl & Partner Lithuania, you have probably experienced some memorable moments. Could you share one of your most vivid memories?

I experience memorable moments almost every day because no two days are alike. Accounting might seem routine from the outside, but it is full of surprises, variety, and, yes, a bit of stress. As it is said, "Each day brings new challenges." But when you love your job, believe in what you do, and are surrounded by great colleagues, every day is special in its own way.

Finally, what would you like to wish for yourself in the next ten years of your professional journey?

I would wish to maintain the curiosity that makes me excited to open the door to the world of numbers every day. I hope to stay optimistic, keep a positive attitude, and continue working with wonderful, supportive colleagues. I cannot imagine my work life without them.
