Reaching a five-year milestone with the company is not just a professional achievement. It represents a heartfelt connection to a place that has become much more than just a workplace. Meet Dalia Martutaitienė, an accountant at Rödl & Partner Lithuania, celebrating her fifth work anniversary. Reflecting on her journey, Dalia recalls the warmth and positivity she felt from day one, a feeling that has only grown stronger over time. In this interview, she shares personal insights into the meaningful professional relationships she has built, her passion for precision in her work, and the guiding principles that have shaped her career.

Looking back to the beginning of your career at Rödl & Partner Lithuania, do you remember the feelings you had when you first walked through the doors five years ago?

I had a positive impression of the company from the very first job interview. The staff were friendly and welcoming, so I had no any doubts when I was offered the position.

What does celebrating your five-year professional anniversary mean to you personally?

I feel a strong connection to this company and care not only about my own well-being and that of my colleagues, but also about the company's image, reputation, and future prospects.

What are your favorite tasks or projects at work?

I most enjoy analyzing the accounting-related information, so preparing reports for clients is the most exciting aspect of my job.

Would you encourage young people to pursue a career in accounting? Why or why not?

I think it is up to each individual to decide what profession they like and find suitable, especially as the profession of accountant is certainly not suitable and attractive for everyone. However, for those who like precision, who have good logical thinking, this profession is really suitable and I would highly recommend it.

What is your main motto or favorite quote, both professionally and personally?

Always treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.

If you had to describe yourself professionally in five words, what would they be?

I am responsible, meticulous, diplomatic, sometimes demanding, but more often accommodating (depending on the complexity of the situation).

Over the past five years at Rödl & Partner Lithuania, you have probably experienced some memorable moments. Could you share one of your most vivid memories?

I cannot pinpoint anything that will be remembered for a lifetime, but I always look forward to the company's events and am grateful for the new experiences I have gained working with this team. I particularly appreciate the daily coffee breaks, which help bring the team closer together and sometimes resolve misunderstandings.

Finally, what would you like to wish for yourself in the next five years of your professional journey?

I prefer taking a simpler approach to some problems and avoid trying to solve the unsolvable.
