New COVID pass in Lithuania – necessary almost everywhere

As of 13 September, all contact services and economic activities shall be carried out and events organised (except for the established exceptions) only for persons who meet the criteria set by the National Certificate as the national COVID pass. Only persons who can present a valid National Certificate shall be able to receive contact services.

Exceptions

A National Certificate is not required for the following:

  • Sales in shops and marketplaces whose main activity is the sale of food;
  • Ordering of minor repair services, when contact between the service recipient and the service provider lasts no longer than 15 minutes;
  • Personal health care services (in accordance with the requirements set by the Minister of Health, including those on testing);
  • Passenger transport services;
  • Paid passenger transport by taxi or private pre-booked car services;
  • Provision of legal services (notaries, bailiffs, mandatory mediation, lawyers providing legal services under a lawyer-client agreement, and lawyers providing secondary legal aid) and court activities;
  • Financial services where the contact between the service recipient and the service provider lasts no more than 15 minutes;
  • Pre-school, pre-primary, primary, basic, secondary education, initial vocational training, non-formal education of children, and educational assistance.

 

National Certificate

A National Certificate is for persons who are either:

  1. Vaccinated
  • Comirnaty or Spikevax vaccine – 1 week after the second dose of vaccine;
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen vaccine – 2 weeks after the single dose vaccine;
  • Vaxzevria vaccine – 4 weeks, but not more than 13 weeks, after the first dose of vaccine and immediately after a second dose of vaccine;
  • If a person has had COVID-19 – 2 weeks after the first dose of any vaccine.

 

2. Have had coronavirus
If a person has had COVID-19 – it is valid if not more than 210 days passed after the positive COVID-19 test result. Or in the case of positive quantitative or semi-quantitative serological immunoassay for COVID-19 IgG antibodies or total antibodies test result - it is valid for not more than 60 days.

 

3. Have been tested
Have a negative paid SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result - it is valid for 48 hours after the sample is collected. The test will be available only in PRIVATE medical institutions and laboratories, and the service will be paid. There will be no possibility to get a paid test at mobile points.

 

Availability, verification of the National Certificate

Access the National Certificate is available to all people who have a personal identification number in Lithuania and whose data (on vaccination, testing and coronavirus disease) is entered to the Lithuanian health electronic system. Fully vaccinated foreign citizens are able to benefit from the National Certificate  activities with the EU Digital COVID Certificate.
